Custom Domain Setup
By setting up your domain through CNAME records, you can streamline access to your campaigns, making them accessible directly via your chosen domain or subdomain (e.g., ar.yourbrand.com).
You can configure this at two levels: Account Level or Campaign Level.
1. Choose Your Setup Type
Option A: Account Level Domain
Best for: Hosting all your games under one main URL structure.
Structure:
yourdomain.com/campaignIDHow to setup:
Visit My Dashboard.
Click on the "Account Level Domain" CTA.
Enter your domain and follow the prompts.
Example: If your domain is
example.com, accessingexample.com/campaign123will open that specific campaign.
Option B: Campaign Level Domain
Best for: Hosting a specific campaign on a unique subdomain.
Structure:
campaign.yourdomain.comHow to setup:
Visit My Dashboard.
Locate the specific campaign you want to host.
Click the "Manage Domain" icon on the campaign card.
Enter your subdomain.
Example: If your domain is
promo.example.com, accessing that URL will directly open this specific campaign.
2. Setting Up the DNS (Step-by-Step)
Once you have entered your domain in the Vizaro dashboard (either at Account or Campaign level), you must configure your DNS provider to point to Vizaro.
We strictly use CNAME records for domain connection.
Step 1: Get the Target Value
In the Vizaro dialog box where you entered your domain, click Update.
The dashboard will display the Target Value you must add to your DNS.
Your Target Value is:
vizarodns.xyz
Step 2: Configure Your DNS Provider
Login to your DNS provider (e.g., Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, BigRock).
Navigate to DNS Management or Name Server Management.
Add a New Record.
Select Type: CNAME.
Enter the details:
Type
CNAME
Name / Host
The subdomain label (e.g., games for games.yourbrand.com)
Value / Target
vizarodns.xyz
TTL
Auto / Default
Save the record.
Example Setup
If you want to host your experience at ar.mybrand.com:
Dashboard Entry:
ar.mybrand.comDNS Record:
Host:
arType: CNAME
Target:
vizarodns.xyz
3. Propagation & Verification
Wait Time: DNS propagation usually takes 5 minutes to 24 hours, depending on your provider.
Verify: After adding the record, visit your custom URL. If it loads your Vizaro campaign, the setup is complete.
Troubleshooting: If it doesn’t load after 24 hours, double-check that the Name/Host and Target (
vizarodns.xyz) are correct in your DNS settings.
Manage or Delete Domains
To remove a connected domain:
Open the Manage Domain dialog (or Account Level Domain settings).
Click the Delete icon next to the domain you want to remove.
Important: Also delete the CNAME record in your DNS provider to fully decommission the link.
Troubleshooting Tips
Check Host vs. Full Domain: When adding the CNAME record in your DNS provider, usually you only enter the subdomain label (e.g.,
games) as the Name, not the full URL (games.yourbrand.com).Cloudflare Users: If you use Cloudflare, set the Proxy Status to DNS Only (turn off the orange cloud icon) during verification. Proxied records can sometimes interfere with the initial SSL validation.
SSL / HTTPS: Vizaro will provision SSL certificates automatically after your DNS is validated. Please allow some time for this to complete.
