Image Tracking

Best for: Product packaging, brochures, menus, posters, event passes, business cards, and in-store displays.

Overview

Marker-based (Image Target) AR uses a specific printed or digital image (called an image target) to trigger AR content. When the user points their camera at the image, the AR experience appears aligned on top of it.

This is ideal for converting physical items into interactive digital experiences.

Typical Use Cases

  • Packaging: Show product benefits or animations when scanning packaging.

  • Information: Add tutorials or ingredient details to food & beverage labels.

  • Marketing: Turn posters or flyers into interactive brand storytelling.

  • Events: Add gamification to merchandise or event IDs.
