360° Space Campaign

(Virtual Tours / Retail Showrooms)

An Around or 360° Space experience places the user inside a digital sphere. Unlike other AR modes where objects appear in the real world, this mode transports the user into your content. They can explore the environment by moving their phone around or dragging the screen.

Best For: Virtual tours, real estate walkthroughs, retail showrooms, and immersive brand storytelling.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Start a New Project

  1. From your Dashboard, click New Project.

  2. Name your project & click Continue.

  3. Select Around from the template options.

2. The 360° Editor Interface

When you create a new 360° project, the editor opens with a specialized view:

  • The Wireframe Sphere: You will see a large grid sphere surrounding the workspace. This represents the user's field of view. Anything placed inside this sphere will be visible to the user.

  • The Reference Avatar: A human figure stands in the center to help you judge scale and height. The camera is positioned roughly at the avatar's eye level.

  • Navigation:

    • Use the 3D/2D toggle in the top left to switch views.

    • Use the Hand Tool to pan around the sphere.

    • Use the Arrow Tool to select objects.

3. Building Your Environment

You have two ways to build the scene inside the sphere:

Option A: The Virtual Room (3D Model Approach)

Around or 360° Space 2

As seen in many virtual showrooms, you can place a detailed 3D model (like a room interior, a booth, or a store layout) directly inside the sphere.

  1. Upload Your Model: Go to My Assets → 3D and upload your GLB/GLTF file (e.g., a room cutaway).

  2. Positioning: The model will appear in the center.

  3. Adjust Transform: Select the model and use the Transform Panel on the right to adjust:

    • Position (X, Y, Z): Move the room so the "camera" (center point) is inside it.

    • Scale: Resize the room to ensure it feels life-size relative to the reference avatar.

    • Rotation: Rotate the room so the user faces the best angle when they first enter.

Option B: 360° Background Image

Around or 360° Space 3

Instead of a 3D model, you can wrap the entire sphere in a panoramic image (like a photo of a beach or a hotel lobby).

  1. Upload Your 360 Image: Go to My Assets → Images and upload your image file.

  2. The image will map to the inside of the wireframe sphere, creating a seamless background.

  3. Adjustment: If using a standard (non-360) image, you may need to adjust the Horizontal or Vertical Curve properties in the right panel to wrap it correctly.

4. Adding Interactivity (Touch Actions)

You can turn any object in your 360° space into a clickable link (Call-to-Action).

  1. Select an Element: Click on any 3D object, image, or icon you have placed in the scene.

  2. Open Touch Action: In the Right Properties Panel, locate the Touch Action section.

  3. Add URL: Enter the destination link in the Site URL field (e.g., https://example.com/booking).

Result: When users tap this object while exploring the 360° space, they will be redirected to that page.

5. Fine-Tuning the Visuals

Use the Element Settings in the right panel to perfect the look:

  • Opacity: Adjust the transparency slider if you want to create "ghost" effects or semi-transparent overlays.

  • Color: Apply tint colors to simple shapes or text.

6. Preview & Publish

  1. Click Preview to generate a QR code.

  2. Test the Scale: Open it on your phone. Does the room feel too small or too big? If so, go back to the Transform Panel and adjust the Scale slider.

  3. Test Navigation: Spin around to ensure the user is "standing" in the correct spot.

  4. When satisfied, click Publish.

Your 360° campaign is now ready.
